The City of Leeds, The Leeds Redevelopment Authority and Leeds Area Chamber of Commerce have partnered to bring Leeds First Thursday Street Fest events to downtown historic Leeds on the Parkway.
Leeds First Thursday Street Fests
The first event will kick off on Thursday, April 4 from 4:00-7:00 pm which will include street performer entertainment, food trucks, car cruise-ins, arts, crafts, vendor booths, kid’s activities and downtown shopping.
April 4 will be Porsche night sponsored by Eurasian Auto Services. There will be a racing Porsche, a vintage 1957 Porsche and many more! May 2 will be Corvette Cruise In night.
Leeds First Thursday Street Fests dates include April 4, May 2 and June 6 so mark your calendars and save the date! These events create community and provide family fun and entertainment!

Leeds Historic Downtown Announces First Thursday Street Fests
Leeds, AL: Leeds Historic Downtown is excited to announce the start of Leeds First Thursday Street Fests on the Parkway. Leeds first Thursday is a family friendly event celebrating local small businesses and highlighting the growing downtown district. This event is a celebration of our rich history of community involvement. Leeds First Thursday dates are already confirmed for early spring and summer on April 4, May 2 and June 6. This is a great way to enjoy the city’s historic downtown charm with activities for the entire family. Festivities will begin at 4 p.m. and continue until 7 p.m. Leeds would love for you to come downtown to spend time with friends and family while supporting your local community. There will be tons of fun for the entire family to enjoy.
Local businesses downtown will be open for shopping and deals are sure to abound. Make sure to stop by your favorite stores or visit a new one including Mum & Me Mercantile, Pants Store and LA Salon & Boutique. The Three Earred Restaurant will be open for your dining pleasure and food trucks will be on the street so there will be plenty of yummy food available for the whole family. Arts and craft vendors, live music and street entertainment, plenty of kids’ activities and a car cruise in are among the activities planned. This is a great way to support local retailers, artists and crafters. Whether you come to shop or to walk downtown and enjoy the lively atmosphere with your family, this event is worth the trip downtown.
Porsche night sponsored by Eurasian Auto Services will lead the cruise in on April 4. There will be a racing Porsche, a vintage 1957 Porsche and many more. The Corvette Club is scheduled for May 2. Anyone with a special car or bike is encouraged to participate in the cruise in for all three events.
Live Entertainment, street vendors and kid’s activities are planned for different street corners and side streets each month with the corner of 6th Street and Parkway on April 4, just off the Parkway at the corner of 9th Street and Thornton Avenue on May 2 and the corner of 8th Street and Parkway on June 6. The cruise ins are planned all along the Parkway between 6th Street and 9th Street.
Leeds First Thursdays are family friendly, community events and many of the activities are completely free so mark your calendar for each one and bring the whole crew to experience the fun. We would love for you to support our small businesses and experience our vibrant and growing downtown for our First Thursday festivities beginning Thursday April 4 from 4:00-7:00 p.m.
