2020 Paving Project is Underway

2020 PAVING PROJECT IS UNDERWAY! As promised earlier, Leeds has received the Department of Agriculture funding we applied for. This program provides ultra low cost funds to financially strong municipalities for use on infrastructure projects. Leeds received just under $3 million from the USDA for our paving and road infrastructure program. This will allow the City to accomplish the most comprehensive project of this kind ever. Even better news is that these funds will cost Leeds Citizens nothing additional in tax and the funds will not come out of the City's general fund. This is possible because the money will be paid back out of gas tax funds, not general revenue...a win win situation.
