Effective June 29, 2020, public establishments in Jefferson County will require persons to wear a face covering by order of the Jefferson County Health Officer. This is not a City of Leeds requirement, but a Jefferson County requirement so all cities in the county are required to comply. Nestled just 17 miles from downtown Birmingham, Leeds is a tri-county municipality, straddling the borders of Jefferson, Shelby, and St Clair counties. It's incredibly convenient to I-20 and I-59, as well as the Birmingham International Airport, but maintains enough distance to be isolated from the traffic and the issues that tend to come along with living in "the city". You can easily be in larger cities like Birmingham and Atlanta in minutes.
